Fairy Tail 445 "The Grotesque Fairy"Summary:

In the Albareth Empire's palace, Inbel welcomes Zeref back home, with the latter asking him if he could gather the Spriggan Twelve for a meeting. In response, Inbel states that he would've gathered the twelve in advance if he knew about the sudden arrival. Briefly after, two more of the Spriggan Twelve arrive, specifically Dimaria Yesta and Ajeel Lamur, soon joined by Orgast, who comments that the emperor seems in a much better mood, assuming that he found his answer about Ragnarok. As the four are prepared for battle, Yajeel enters the throne room as well, stating his gladness about the emperor's return as he slowly starts approaching him. As the former then stops going any more closer, the latter tells him that he doesn't have to worry about the threat of dying by coming closer. Afterwards, Yajeel tells Zeref about the arrival of Makarov as a messenger from Ishgar. As Inbel tells him about forgetting to fill in the documents, Zeref says that he doesn't mind. Briefly after, Makarov kneels to Zeref, with the latter subsequently telling the others to leave.

Outside the palace, Makarov wonders whether the latter is Zeref or Emperor Spriggan, to which he replies that he is both, but, if he had to choose, he is Zeref, the one looking for meaning in the world. Going further, Zeref tells Makarov about the creation and gradual development of his country, after which the latter questions his intentions with Lumen Histoire. As Zeref reveals its real name as Fairy Heart, he states that such Magic is superior to the three Great Fairy Magics. Makarov then assumes that taking it is due to his destructive personality, being correct as Zeref states that it's required for a showdown against Acnologia, instead of just the empire itself he initially thought would be enough. Stating that nothing can stop Albareth in its current state, Zeref confirms that he's not open to negotiations. As he announces the extermination of human kind, Makarov expresses his harsh disapproval on obtaining Fairy Heart, ending up trapped in the former's Magic. Being called an ugly Demon, Zeref states that Spriggan is the name of an ugly fairy. Now wanting to eliminate Makarov, Zeref expresses his desire to make Natsu angry and make him come to him in order to destroy him. However, just as he is about to finish the latter off, Mest comes just in time, teleporting Makarov to safety with the group of Fairy Tail Mages. The group is greeted with shock after learning that Zeref appeared, with the latter grinning, knowing that Natsu is coming.
