Spin-Off Manga Magi: Sinbad no Bouken to Get Anime Adaptation

It’s announced on Sunday that Magi: Sinbad no Bouken, a spin-off manga of Shinobu Ohtaka's popular series Magi, is getting anime adaptation. The anime DVD will be bundled with the special edition of the third compiled volume of Magi: Sinbad no Bouken, which is scheduled to ship in Japan on May 16.

Voice actor Daisuke Ono will play the young Sinbad, and an "extravagant staff" is handling the project.

The manga is written by Magi's original creator Shinobu Ohtaka and illustrated by Yoshifumi Ohtera. The world in the story is set on 30 years before Magi , and the story tells the story of the younger days of Sinbad, the king of Sindria. Now it is serialized in Shogakukan's web comic site Ura Sunday.
