New Dragon Ball Movie Confirmed

According to the 33rd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, a new movie adaptation of the popular Dragon Ball series is in the works. The official website for the magazine http://shonenjump.com/j/countdown/ has launched a special teaser page with a countdown to a “surprise” on Saturday, July 14.

It is also revealed that the upcoming new Dragon Ball movie will premier on March 30, 2013. The original manga author, Akira Toriyama, notes that the adaptation will mark the first time he has been so deeply involved in the production of an anime. He also says that the movie will retain the atmosphere of the original while adding small amounts of “modern flavor”.
