According to the 33rd issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine, Zettai Karen Children manga will be getting a new anime project in the future. The new anime is one of seven new projects that will commemorate the seventh anniversary of the manga’s serialized debut in the magazine. It is still unknown whether it’s going to be a sequel, OVA, remake or TV series. More details will be revealed in future issues of the magazine.

Zettai Karen Children is written and illustrated by Takashi Shiina. It started being serialized in Weekly Shounen Sunday in 2005. The first TV series which contains 51 episodes was aired from 2008 to 2009. And an OVA was released in summer of 2010 that includes original material based on the junior high school story arc.

The story of Zettai Karen Children centers around the three ten-year-old girls who’s been hired by the government to work under B.A.B.E.L., a special ESPer (ESP users) organization committed to stopping crimes before they happen. These three children though are not ordinary kids but in fact one of the most powerful ESPers on earth. Kouichi Minamoto is assigned to watch over them, and he’ll need to, because three superpowered ten-year-olds are a problem on their own.
