Medaka Box Second Season Confirmed

According to the 30th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, a second season for Medaka Box has been confirmed. It will be aired during this fall, starting October. No other information is out yet. You can check out the official website http://medakabox.jp/ for more updates.

Medaka Box is written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by Akira Akatsuki. The story revolves around Medaka Kurokami, the recently elected Student Council President of Hakoniwa Academy who has instituted a suggestion box in order to collect suggestions and improvements from fellow academy students. Together with council members Zenkichi Hitoyoshi, Kouki Akune, and Mogana Kikaijima, she takes on the challenges in the school that include supernatural powers and near-constant battles.

Medaka Box has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since May 2009. It was adapted into an anime TV series that premiered on April 5, 2012. With the scenario being written by the original author Nisio Isin, the first season finale aired on June 20.
