Live-Action Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo TV Series Announced

According to the 29th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine, school romantic comedy manga Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo is getting a live-action adaptation. The TV drama is scheduled to premiere in Japan on the Fuji TV channel on August 10 at 11:10 PM, and will air every Saturday. Each episode will be approximately 45 minutes.



Furthermore, the lead cast for the upcoming live-action Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo TV show has been announced by Fuji TV. Ryū Yamada and Urara Shiraishi will be played by Yūsuke Yamamoto and Mariya Nishiuchi respectively.


 


Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo is written and illustrated by Miki Yoshikawa. The manga began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Magazine last February. So far 7 volumes have been published. The story begins when Yamada, the high school’s worst problem child, bumps into the beautiful honor student Shiraishi on the stairs, and their lips touch as they fall. When they regain their wits, they realize that they have swapped bodies. As time progresses, the two realize that this is not the only mysterious happening in the school.
