Kangoku Gakuen TV Anime to Premiere Summer

The 16th manga volume of Akira Hiramoto's Kangoku Gakuen(Prison School) reveals this anime adaptation of manga will premiere in Summer 2015. It also indicates this manga has sold 4 million copies.

 

 

The story follows Hachimitsu Academy, one of the strictest female academies in Tokyo, has decided to accept male students. Kiyoshi Fujino is one of these new boys, but he discovers to his shock that he and his four friends are the only male students among 1,000 girls. After series of accidents, five boys to be "arrested". They should either stay a month in the prison or be expelled.

 

 

Kangoku Gakuen began serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine on February 7, 2011. It was one of the winners of the Kodansha Manga Award for General Manga in 2013. 

Hiramoto has many good works. Ago Nashi Gen to Ore Monogatari manga inspired a mobile phone anime in 2010.

 

 

Yarisugi Companion to Atashi Monogatari manga inspired a live-action film in 2011.
