Kamisama Hajimemashita Anime Voice Cast and Character Design Revealed

It was first announced last month by the 15th issue of Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine that Kamisama Hajimemashita (Kamisama Kiss) shoujo manga will get a TV anime adaptation. Recently the 17th issue of the magazine revealed the voice cast of the upcoming anime. It was also announced that the anime will premiere on Monday, October 1 at 26:05 a.m. (effectively, Sunday, October 2 at 2:05 a.m.) on TV Tokyo in Japan.

Kamisama Hajimemashita is written and illustrated by Julietta Suzuki. The story follows a girl named Nanami who finds herself homeless after her father leaves. She comes to the home of a boy who offers to let her stay over -- only to discover it is a Shinto shrine. The boy happens to be a deity.

Tomoe (CV: Shinnosuke Tachibana)

A fox yokai who serves as the familiar of the land god. Several centuries ago, he was a wild and cruel fox who served the Evil King, but occasionally took mercy on girls who showed spirit. Currently he is the familiar of Nanami and sealed their contract with a kiss.

Nanami Momosono (CV: Suzuko Mimori)

A teenage girl whose father ran out on her because of his gambling debts, and she was evicted from her apartment the same day. Shortly after, she met Mikage and was offered his “home” to stay in. She discovered that his home was a run-down shrine run by his familiar Tomoe.

Mikage (CV: Akira Ishida)

A mysterious man who was once the land god of the shrine, and who left twenty years ago for unspecified reasons. He met a newly-homeless Nanami and bestowed the land-god mark on her, saying that she was better suited to be the god than him.

Mizuki (CV: Nobuhiko Okamoto)

A snake familiar at the Yonomori shrine. When Nanami saves his life from her cruel classmates by releasing him out a window, he falls in love with her. He later becomes Nanami’s familiar to save her from a sea demon.

Kurama (CV: Daisuke Kishio)

A super popular male idol that enrolls in Nanami's high school. He’s known for his mysterious “fallen angel” look. He’s actually a crow tengu. He has left Kurama mountain 16 years ago and has been living in human world since then.

Ami Nekota (CV: Satomi Satou)

Nanami’s classmate. She likes Kurama very much.
