Fairy Tail Zero TV Anime Slated for January

Hiro Masima's Fairy Tail Zero manga is getting a TV anime adaptation, according to the wraparound jacket bands on the 52nd volume of Fairy Tail manga and the one compiled volume of Fairy Tail Zero manga. The anime will premiere in January. More details will be revealed on the official website for the Fairy Tail anime franchise.

 

The cast of the anime is being revealed by this year's 51st issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine on Wednesday:

Mamiko Noto as Mavis

Katsuyuki Konishi as Yuri

 

Hiroshi Shirokuma as Warrod

 

Yoshihisa Kawahara as Precht

 

Akira Ishida as Zeref

 

The voice actress for Zera will be revealed on Weekly Shonen Magazine's next issue.

 

Fairy Tail Zero manga began serialization in the first issue of Monthly Fairy Tail in July 2014, and ended in the magazine's 13th and final issue on July 17.

The story tells the details of the meeting of the founders, and what happened between them to lead them to found the guild.

The main manga Fairy Tail has inspired two TV anime series, two video anime, and anime film, and several spinoff manga.
