According to the official website for the To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness television anime series, voice actress Masako Joh (Rockman.EXE’s Roll, Inazuma Eleven’s Shourinji Ayumu) has gone on maternity leave. She played Ryoko Mikado (Mikado-sensei) in previous To Love-Ru series.

After discussing the matter with Joh and her agency, the show’s production committee decided that in order to make sure that Joh’s health was their first priority, they would change cast members. Then the cast for Mikado Ryoko was switched from Joh to Sakurai Harumi (Angel Beats!’ Yuri Nakamura, Toaru Majutsu no Index II’s Awaki Musujime). And the committee asked fans to please continue to support Joh, Sakurai, and the show from now on.

To Love-Ru is a Japanese manga series written by Saki Hasemi, and illustrated by Kentaro Yabuki. The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine between April 24, 2006 and August 31, 2009. A continuation of the manga called To Love-Ru Darkness began serialization in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine on October 4, 2010. An anime TV series adaptation for To-Love Ru Darkness produced by Xebec began airing in October 2012.
