The official website for Boruto -Naruto the Movie- released the first full trailer and the second teaser trailer. The trailers focus on the new generation of ninja - Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki, under the direction of Sasuke, to pass the Chūnin Exams. It also reveals a mysterious man named Momoshiki who attacks the Hidden Leaf Village. It announced the theme song of movie "Diver" will be performed by band KANA-BOON.

 

 

 

 

Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine gave a tagline for the film, "The curtain rises on the legend that will surpass all!!" The tagline in the visual above is, "Go beyond the legend. Take the reins of the new era."

Weekly Shonen Jump describes the story of the new film as follows: Boruto is the son of the seventh Hokage Naruto who completely rejects his father. Behind this, he has feelings of wanting to surpass Naruto, who is respected as a hero. He ends up meeting his father's friend Sasuke, and requests to become... his apprentice!? The curtain rises on the story of the new generation written by Masashi Kishimoto!

Hiroki Yasumoto as Kinshiki, the obedient subordinate of the mysterious man Momoshiki
Kensho Ono as Shikadai Nara, the son of Shikamaru Nara and Temari
Daisuke Namikawa as Momoshiki

 

 

Original Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto, chief production supervisor of the movie, is responsible for the original story, script, and character designs. Hiroyuki Yamashita (Naruto Shippūden, Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie) is directing the film, and Ukyō Kodachi (Chaos Dragon, Neppu Kairiku Bushi Road) is collaborating with Kishimoto on the script.

After performing opening theme of the Naruto Shippūden "Silhouette", the rock band KANA-BOON is also performing "Diver" song as the theme song of the movie.

The film will be released in Japanese on August 7, and tickets will begin sale on June 27. The audiences will get one of two fans designed by Masashi Kishimoto as a special gift. The "Uzumaki Version" will feature Naruto and Boruto and the "Uchiha Version" will feature Sasuke and Sarada. The fans are limited to 100,000 units.

 

 

They also would receive 2 million copies of an official book — a brand-new one-shot manga by original manga creator Masashi Kishimoto. The Naruto Hiden Zai no Sho Official Movie Book's title shows the book is a spinoff of the Naruto: The Official Character Data Book series.

The book will include the manga "Naruto ga Hokage ni Natta Hi (The Day Naruto Became the Hokage)" that Kishimoto personally drew. The story episode never appear in the Naruto manga series. The book will also include the main manga series' 700th and final chapter in full color.
