According to this year's 20th issue of Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine, Mizuho Husanagi's shojo manga Akatsuki No Yona (Yona of the Dawn) is getting a stage play in 2016.

The story follows Yona, the sole princess of the kingdom. She lives a cheerful life and being spoiled by her father. On her sixteenth birthday, she intended to tell her father that she loves SuWon, but her perfect world quickly shattered as SuWon murdered her father. Yona escaped with her loyal bodyguard Hak, and they began a journey to quest the path to survive and save the Kouka Kingdom.

Akatsuki No Yona manga began serialization in Hakusensha's shojo manga mangazine Hana to Yume in August 2009. The series has been collected into 18 bound volumes, and the 19th volume of the manga will ship on Friday with an original anime DVD. It also inspired a 24-episode television anime in 2014.
